tungsten skies

the move from fall to winter always seems to be more brutal than other seasonal transitions. we all love the warmth of orange and yellow leaves on the trees but then like a drop of a pin they disperse and rapidly fall in what seems to be only a day. today, walking to class all i heard was crinkled leaves scrape against the pavement, the brisk air whisper in my ear and students shuffling in their shoes to class. don't get me wrong, i love winter and everything that comes with it. the perfect white but usually slushy snow, rosy cheeks and down jackets are among my favorites, as well as winter sports. however, this years transition has been seemingly gloomier than the rest. the sky is always tungsten and all looks dull. if i may ask mother nature of one thing, please give me light. what's a girl got to do around here to get some sunshine? all i wish for is a little sunshine to be sprinkled on my cheeks when i wake up and walk to class in the morning, pleeeeeeeease. my room is the closest thing to sunshine i see day in and day out, so i've decided to introduce you to my humble abode. i hope it instills light, sunshine and warmth in your days. xo

i have a slight obsession with shabby chic interiors and dinosaurs- excuse their co-exsitance if you must.

Gally - your room is amazing, that vanity is exquisite! Shabby chic is life! Rachel Ashwell = my decoration guru.

Paris is one of the most beautiful places i've ever visited, let alone lived in. I feel so lucky to be here during the fall, my favorite season, that lasts a bit longer than in North America (that gross transition you're so eloquently talking about in this wonderful post has yet to happen here). There are many photos on the blog, if you click on the "Paris" tag, you'll see a bunch of them :)

I love your blog as well and have also become a follower.
