i'm so excited to finally announce that i was nominated for a peace corps assignment on monday! i got a call from my regional recruiter letting me know that she had nominated me to washington DC for a primary education teacher in the PACIFIC ISLANDS. this week has been filled with so much support from friends and family as well as joy. it's been a long time since i've felt this accomplished, now all that's in my way are some serious medical examinations. thanks for all your support as well throughout this whole process!

  

SEMI-FORMAL TOMORROW:

i always seem to speak too quickly. that wonderful weather from the weekend disappeared like all the birds' clatter in the morning. i'm back to wearing multiple layers under my many layers of blankets each night. this weekend is my sorority's semi-formal- so happy! i have a great dress, that i'm excited for you all to see. not to mention, my date is pretty wonderful as well. actually, my date is off this radar and dresses amazingly, i've gotten word about a bow tie- eeee. so be sure to frequent sometime on sunday to see some fun pictures from my night.
